Who we are
Vittelio is an independent app ("we," "us"). This policy explains how the App handles your information.
The short version
We do not collect, transmit, sell, or store your personal data on any server. Vittelio has no backend. Your meals, allergies, score, plan, and cooking history are saved only on your phone and never leave it unless you choose to back up your device with Apple.
Information stored on your device
To work, the App saves the information you enter — the dishes you report eating, how often, your allergies and dietary restrictions, your chosen plan and pace, your MIND score, and your in-app cooking log. This is stored locally on your device using standard iOS app storage. It is used only to calculate your score and generate your plan on the device itself.
We do not collect or transmit your data
Apart from feedback you choose to send (see “Sending feedback” below), the App makes no network connections to send your information anywhere. There is no server, no database, and no account in the cloud. Because we never receive your on-device data, we cannot access, read, share, sell, or disclose it — and we could not produce it even if asked.
Sending feedback
If you tap Send Feedback and submit a message, the text you type is transmitted to our form provider (Web3Forms) so that we can read it. The form asks for no name, email, or account — your feedback is anonymous, we cannot tie it to you, and we cannot reply. Only the words you write are sent; none of your on-device data (your meals, allergies, score, plan, or cooking log) is included. Please don't type personal details you'd rather not share.
No accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking
The App requires no account, email, or login. It contains no advertising, no analytics or measurement SDKs, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party trackers. It does not use your device's advertising identifier and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Links to external sites
Some screens link to external sources, such as the scientific references on PubMed (a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine). These open in an in-app browser. When you choose to open one, your request goes to that website, which is governed by its own privacy policy — not ours. We do not track which links you open and receive no information about your browsing.
iCloud backup
If you have iCloud Backup enabled in your iOS Settings, Apple may include the App's on-device data in your encrypted device backup, under your own Apple ID. This is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy terms — we have no access to or control over your backups.
Your health & dietary information
The meal and dietary information you enter can be sensitive. We treat it accordingly: it never leaves your device through the App and is never seen by us or any third party. You are always in control of it.
Deleting your data
You can clear your data at any time from within the App, or by deleting the App from your device, which permanently removes all locally stored information. If your data is part of an iCloud backup, manage or delete that backup through your iOS Settings.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from minors — and in fact do not collect information from anyone.
Your privacy rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)
Laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data a company holds about you. Vittelio holds none. It collects no personal data and stores nothing about you on any server, so there is nothing for us to access, provide, or delete. Your information stays on your device, under your control.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and reflect the changes in the App. Because the App operates entirely on your device, any future change will continue to respect the principle that your data stays with you.
