On your device, full stop
Everything Vittelio does — scoring your week, building your plan, filtering for allergies, tracking progress — is computed locally on your phone, over a curated dish dataset that ships inside the app. There is no cloud processing and no runtime AI service reading your meals. The app doesn't have a backend server of its own, which is the strongest privacy statement software can make: data that never leaves can't be leaked, sold, or subpoenaed from us.
No account, nothing to sign up for
You open the app and start. No email, no password, no profile, no ads, no third-party analytics. If you want your data portable, a backup file can be exported from the Profile tab and imported on a new phone — you hold the file, not us.
The one exception, disclosed
There is exactly one place the app can transmit something you typed: the optional “Send feedback” box, which delivers your anonymous message through a form service so we can read it. That's it — and it's spelled out in the same plain language in our privacy policy. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple; we never see payment details.
A business model that doesn't need your data
Vittelio is free to start, then unlocked with a single one-time purchase — no subscription and no free tier propped up by advertising. That choice is a privacy feature: an app you've bought once has no incentive to harvest attention or data. You are the customer, and the product is the app.
